About Our Foundation
The Cows Foundation promotes the humane care of cows by both caring for cows directly and educating others about compassionate practices. Through hands-on care and public outreach, the Foundation demonstrates what it means to treat cows with dignity and kindness. Our work is grounded in the following core principles:
- Cows are allowed to live out their full span of life.
- Cows are nurtured, respected and treated with kindness.
- Young calves are allowed to stay with their mothers and nurse from them for at least 4–6 months.
- Cows enjoy organic feed and are allowed to graze freely on pasture.
